As for the basics – I’m 26 years old, I live in Chicago, and I’m a teacher. I’m originally from Columbus, Ohio and I went to school at The Ohio State University where I met Chris, my partner for the last 6 years.
An ideal day for me would start with a cup of coffee. Preferably a light roast pour over (beans freshly ground of course) and maybe a shot of espresso. Then, I’d take a nice long walk with Chris. Any weather is fine! I try to enjoy all of the seasons in Chicago (even though it’s 6 months of winter and 2 months of everything else). Maybe the walk will lead us to brunch – my favorite meal of the day. Then, we’d go to a museum – the Art Institute and Museum of Science and Industry are my favorite, but any will do. Finally, we’d end the day somewhere that does really good cocktails. Preferably bourbon, which is my favorite.
If I’m not enjoying Chicago’s finest attractions, I like to move my body to get my sweat on – yoga classes and spin classes are my go to, but I’m down for pretty much anything. I also like to plan travel adventures or vacations, even if I know I’m not going to take the trip. Sometimes, though, I’m lucky enough to take the trips I plan! Over the last year, Chris and I traveled to Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, and Krakow.
Other things I love? The New York Times crossword. Internet rabbit holes. Millennial pink (it’s been my favorite color since 1996). Ice cream cones. Ohio State football. Cheap champagne. Sundresses. Perusing vintage shops. Tarot card reflection. Disney (everything from classic princesses to every single detail at the parks). And so much more.
